Nigerian Dwarf goats are wonderful, little animals! They are affectionate, hardy, and wonderful mothers. They kid easily, usually with twins or triplets. One of my favorite things to do is go into the goat yard to sit and watch them play. Their size makes them ideal to handle, cheaper to feed, and the perfect amount of milk for a family. They are also easier to transport if you decide to get into showing. They are great for pets, showing, and milking. (They also mow down weeds pretty good!) :-) They are, as well as all other goats, a herd animal, so you definitely need more than one. We feed a mix of corn, oats, BOSS (black-oil sunflower seeds), and Goat Chow. They must also have access to clean, fresh water as well as free-choice baking soda and a mineral mix. |
